Dr. Von Thorp, a mad scientist, builds a mighty robot to help him take over the Earth. The Dr. sends the iron monster on a crime spree and the police are unable to stop it. After several failed attempts to capture the robot, Hugh Hazzard, a playboy detective, is sent by the police commissioner to stop the mad scientist's creation. Hazzard sees the robot break into a jewelry store, crawls inside of it, and temporarily deactivates it. Von Thorp summons his creation back to him and is surprised when Hazzard emerges from its body. Dr. Von Thorp is arrested and the police decide to dump the robot into the sea with other confiscated weapons. Upon hearing this, Hazzard rushes to the waterfront and rescues the robot from a "watery grave" sneaking it from a police boat and back to his apartment. Dubbing the iron man "Bozo" he uses the doctor's radio control device to make Bozo a crime-fighting tool.

Powers and Abilities:

Bozo the Iron Man's powers include the strength of a 1000 men, the ability to withstand the pressure of ocean depths, a maximum running speed of over 70 mph, and the ability to fly at speeds of up to 400 mph. He can be controlled by remote or piloted from the inside.

Davis (as "Curtis Steele") Golden Age Origin: Operator 5 was really Jimmy Christopher, a maverick secret service agent who worked as main operative for an ambiguous government organization. For this organization, Jimmy Christopher fought against America's enemies' efforts to take over America. The enemies were often from countries with fictional names and veiled references to nations such as Germany and Japan. Examples of foes fought by Operator 5 included the Thirteenth Darkness, The Atlantis (a flying fortress), The Yellow Scourge, Zaava, and the Black Menace. In addition to being a secret agent, he was a master of disguise, radio operator, chemist, and weaponry expert. Operator 5 also had two trademarks: a skull ring and a rapier which was kept curled inside his belt.
